We have a video!!

     posted Dec 2, 2014 10:00 PM by Women's Soccer

Who says competitive teams can't have fun? After TSwift's summer anthem "Shake It Off" came on before and after almost every practice and game, we started filming our tone deaf teammates prove why they joined club soccer rather than the dance team. Look out for us on Tay Tay's next tour!

We have a new field!

     posted Sep 23, 2013 3:30 PM by Women's Soccer

As of last Wednesday, September 18, 2013, Washington University's South Campus Field officially reopened following turf renovation. We are very excited to begin hosting our practices and home games there, as it is a huge improvement over the old field! Thanks to our WCS players for bearing with us in the meantime, and thanks to visiting teams that we have already played against this season for being flexible with game locations. Most of all, we want to say a special thank you to WashU and all of the athletic department staff that made this amazing project happen, and to Student Union for coming through with some last-minute funding to support our purchase of goals. The field is awesome and we are lucky to now be playing at such an amazing facility!

Here are some photos of the new field. It now features a full-size turf soccer/lacrosse/rugby field with lights, portable goals, a scoreboard, and a new grassy hill overlooking the field for fans to watch contests from:

Kickoff to the Fall 2013 Season

     posted Aug 26, 2013 9:37 AM by Women's Soccer

Our fall 2013 season officially kicks off with TRYOUTS on Wednesday, August 28th from 5:30-7:30pm and Thursday, August 29th from 5:30-7:30pm. Both sessions will be held at Mudd Field. Please meet at the corner of the field near Simon Hall (the business school) and Seigle Hall (large building in front of the Athletic Complex). All returning players are required to attend, and we are excited to welcome any and all new students interested in joining the team!

Once our final roster is decided following tryouts, we will quickly begin practicing and preparing for our first KMSL league game on Friday, September 6th against KMSL newcomers Southeast Missouri State. This is our first game of what promises to be an awesome season, so get excited! We need to come out strong and set the tone for the rest of our semester. Our ultimate goal this year is to not only attend nationals as we have in the past, but advance farther in the tournament than ever before. It won't be easy, but we have a great group can accomplish anything we set our minds to. This being said, we need a full time commitment from everyone this semester moreso than ever before. Everyone is an important piece of the team and our success hinges on all players attending all practices and games. Please view our schedule and mark your calendars with all game and tournament dates, as we will be depending on you to be able to attend all contests. Pay special attention to our regional tournament being held on Nov. 1-3 and our nationals tournament on Nov. 21-23. It's going to be a great year!

Just a quick update on logistics as well - South Campus field, home to all of our practices and games, is currently undergoing turf renovation. Certain delays in the renovation process have caused the field to not be ready until September 14th. In the meantime, we will do our best to find practice and game space either at WashU's other field facilities or at other local venues. The situation is not ideal, but the new field will be great so we would appreciate everyone bearing with us in the meantime. Thanks!

GET EXCITED FOR AN AWESOME SEASON!!!

 Ladies,
It has been a pleasure and an honor to be your president this season.  I am so proud of all we've achieved.  Finishing number one in our league was something I never thought possible within my time here.  This is the best way I can imagine my senior year going.  Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Your loyal president,
Kelly Ness
